UDOIT
The Universal Design Online content Inspection Tool (pronounced, "You Do It") allows faculty to identify accessibility issues in Canvas courses. UDOIT will scan a course, generate a report, and provide resources on how to address common accessibility issues.
UDOIT is located in the left-hand course navigation. Step-by-step instructions on how to use the tool are available in K-State's Knowledge Base .
What can you do with UDOIT?
UDOIT will identify “errors” and provide “suggestions” in the following areas of your Canvas course:
- Announcements
- Assignments
- Discussions
- Files
- Pages
- Syllabus
- Module URLs
UDOIT will check for the appropriate use of the following:
- Use of headings in page structure
- Alternative text for images
- Table headers
- Color contrast
- Video caption
